Updates & Amendments

- We know just how busy Retail Pharmacy can be so we take all the hard work out of updating your site.
Just phone or e-mail our dedicated customer services team before 5 pm on a Friday, with the changes you require and we update your site for you by the following Tuesday.
If you really want to update your site yourself we will try to oblige but would ask you the question why would you want to when we do it for you? - Our license covers unlimited amendments to personal information such as opening hours and contact details as well as news items and company information such as staff or services offered
- Yes absolutely - our sites can be totally personalised to your business. All our websites are initially set up with all the typical services offered by a progressive Pharmacy but if there is a service you don't provide, just let us know and we will remove it from your website
- Of course - that is the whole philosophy behind a 2MLPharmacare website. Just e-mail us the copy and any images you want to use and we'll add a new page to your site within a week.
- Yes - feel free to rewrite as little or as much of the copy as you wish
- 2MLPharmacare have been designed for Retail Pharmacies in consultation with Pharmacists. We'd love to hear your suggestions and providing your request enhances our site in general, we'll incorporate the new feature for no extra charge.

Domains

- Yes there are two options - you can choose a suitable domain or we can research which domains are available and offer you a choice of domain.
- We normally manage our customers domains, but if you wish to manage your own domain we're happy with that.
- Yes of course - we can either supply you with the information required to point your domain at the website we create for you, or you can transfer management of the domain to 2MLPharmacare and we do all the hard work on your behalf.
- Transferring a domain involves a significant amount of administration for us - the transfer charge covers our costs.
- You at all time retain ownership of any domain names pointing at your website. This is most important because your domain is a very valuable asset to your business.
- Yes many of our customers request we register both the .com and .co.uk variations of their domain.
- You can have numerous different domains pointing at your website. For example for a small Pharmacy group called the "Village Pharmacy Group" we could set up a website on www.villagepharmacygroup.com and forward the following individual Pharmacy domains to that principle domain

- www.newcastlevillagepharmacy.com
- www.anyvillagepharmacy.co.uk - Yes - we include the management and renewal of one standard .com or .co.uk within our licensing fee and charge an annual management fee of £20.00 for any additional domains that we manage on your behalf.
- We pride ourselves on our high levels of customer service and the relationships we have built within the Retail Pharmacy sector. We'll be sorry to lose your business but will respect your decision and at that point offer you a number of options once you have cancelled your website.
Upon your instruction we can immediately initiate a transfer of your domain to your preferred registrar for our standard domain transfer charge of £25.00
If you are not setting up another website immediately, we can continue to manage your domain free of charge until the domain renewal at which time we will seek your instruction. At that point we can either:
- Manage your domain indefinitely for our standard annual domain management charge.
- Transfer the domain to your preferred registrar for our standard domain transfer charge of £25.00
- Allow the domain registration to expire
The important point to stress is that your domain is a valuable asset for your business and we will carry out your instruction promptly and efficiently.

- You can use any existing e-mail address or we can set up a new e-mail address based on your domain.
These are the issues to consider when making a decision
- Does your existing e-mail address have a lot of traffic - if it does it may be more practical to use your existing e-mail address on the site.
- How professional is your existing e-mail address. An address such as yourpharmacy@hotmail.com is perfectly acceptable but marycsmyth2008@hotmail.com will not convey a professional image if used on your new website. - You can have numerous e-mail addresses - retaining your existing e-mail address for your existing correspondents and set up a new e-mail address or addresses for your website based on your domain.
Examples could include any or all of the following

- pharmacist@mypharmacy.co.uk
- perfumery@mypharmacy.co.uk - Of course - it just depends on the level of your technical know how. You can choose any e-mail hosting company and if we manage your domain on your behalf all you need to do is supply us with the information we require to associate your e-mail with your domain.
However most customers are only too happy for us "techie" people to handle that side of things for them - No - we use Google mail to host e-mail for our customers for a number of reasons. Google mail is secure and can be accessed by our customers using any internet connected PC or Smart Phone by webmail as well as on their e-mail client (such as Outlook) installed on their own PC.
By using Google mail our customers are not tied to the 2MLPharmacare website service. A customer can stop licensing our website and providing they continue to register their domain their e-mail will keep working. - We charge a one off administration fee to cover our time when setting up your Google mail account and a £5.00 one off charge for each e-mail address we set up. We do not charge for ongoing use of the service - it is free.
If you are technically competent we are happy to provide you with all the information you require to set up your e-mail with whatever e-mail service you choose - Sorry - we cannot provide support for customers who wish to set up their own e-mail service or who wish to configure their own e-mail client.
- Unlimited e-mails - we charge a £5.00 administration charge for each e-mail address we register on your behalf.
- Yes you can have separate e-mail addresses for each Pharmacy and for every member of staff in each Pharmacy - however we would urge caution and ask you to be mindful of the administration burden managing numerous e-mail addresses

- We've built this website for the Progressive Independent Pharmacy so that they can compete on a level playing field with the web power of the multiples - so none of the major pharmacy groups will be offered 2MLPharmacare.
We can't offer our website exclusively within the independent sector at a local level, but the way we have designed our site with a number of templates, colour schemes and personalised text and images means that each of our customers can customise their site to look quite unique. - A well designed pharmacy website provides a wonderful opportunity to offer customer service, build customer loyalty and ultimately not only increase business but protect your business from the huge online marketing spend of the multiples.
- The large Pharmacy groups are aggressively building their web presence because each day thousands of people are newly diagnosed with chronic diseases or ailments.
Many of these people will walk out of a Doctor's consultation room in a state of shock - they won't remember everything the Doctor has said and will walk straight into a pharmacy with a prescription - perhaps for the first time ever.
When newly diagnosed customers leave your Pharmacy, a large proportion will research their condition online. If a customer finds information about their condition, on for example, a Boots website, you now share that customer with Boots.
If the online experience has been a good experience, a positive relationship is established with Boots which increases the risk of losing that customer the next time they require a prescription.
The best case scenario for Boots is that the customer who first walked into your Pharmacy, signs up for the Boots Online Repeat Prescription Service which is heavily promoted on the Boots website.
That is why the large Pharmacy groups are driving their web presence - even advertising their websites on Television. - The major online players spend huge sums of money building, developing, maintaining and updating their websites. At 2MLPharmacare we minimise these costs to each of our customers, by sharing our site with 100's of independent pharmacies. Instead of charging one Pharmacy group a small fortune for the work we do we license our sites to many Pharmacies at very competitive rates.
- We don't think you can compare because a 2MLPharmacare site has over 1,000 pages and uses high end multimedia content to explain many medical conditions but a basic 5 page static website will typically cost you £500 if built by a Student and £2,500 if built by a competent web design company.
Neither of these options will be managed and annual costs will range from £100 to £500. (Some Pharmacies with existing websites have told us they pay considerably more)
2MLPharmacare sites for a single store typically cost no more than £500 to set up and cost £540 per annum for a constantly updated and fully managed solution. - Primarily a 2MLPharmacy website is designed to be a customer service tool and it achieves this by providing your customer with up to date information relevant to their condition.
A well designed website however offers you much more - it is also a communication tool, communicating not only with your customers, but with your peers, your competition, your suppliers, other local businesses and the healthcare professions you interact with on a daily basis.
The message communicated is that your business is progressive, forward thinking and customer focused. It says I'm open for business, I'm here to do business, and I'm serious about my business.
These messages add value to your business. - 2MLPharmacare embed and link to content produced by respected 3rd party content providers such as NHS Choices as well as leading Health Charities and Medical websites. In addition we produce the multi media content contained within the website.
We research and script the copy for this content which is then validated by competent healthcare professionals or organisations with relevant expertise in the topic or condition. - Yes - that is why we ask you for your Pharmacy registration details, Company details, and Superintendent Pharmacist details and we include this information within the Regulatory information found on every 2MLPharmacare website
- Definitely not - 2MLPharmacare websites are designed so that the independent Pharmacy can counter the online threat from the Multiples and Online Pharmacies.

Purchasing the Site

- Depending on which package you purchase the set up fee covers our time to
- Research, register or transfer your domain or domains
- Personalise your site with all the information relevant to your business such as opening hours, staff details, news, company information, services, local doctors, contact details, Google map, contact form etc
- Customise your site with images of your staff and shop including choice of colour scheme, and your company logo if supplied. - The only other charges are for optional extras such as e-mail set up, additional domains, 3rd party plug in's and transfer of existing domains.
- Unlimited amendments made on your behalf, updates of content, licensing of content, management of the site, upgrades of the website, hosting, domain registration (for one standard domain).
- If you register more than one domain name there is an annual management charge of £20 per additional domain.
- It really depends on your business and how much emphasis you place on customer service and how much importance you place on giving your business a competitive edge.
Progressive Pharmacies set aside budgets for modern fixtures and fittings, smart shop fronts, staff uniforms, staff training, consultation areas. It is not possible to quantify the return on any one of these investments in isolation but cumulatively they add great value to a business.
A website is an additional tool within that mix and provides another window or doorway into your business. How many of those Pharmacies who couldn't see the return by investing in a telephone fifty years ago are still in business today.
The Web is transforming business right now - how many businesses who don't embrace this technology will remain in business in ten years time? - 2MLPharmacare set up costs are about 20% of the cost that a competent web development company will charge for a smart but basic site with few features and little functionality. Setting up your site will require about one hour in total of your time as opposed to days of your time meeting and briefing the designer. You will have to provide the designer with all the copy for the site and the designer is unlikely to have even a basic understanding of Retail Pharmacy.
Once a 2MLPharmacare site is set up, we update, maintain and manage the site on your behalf. We do understand retail pharmacy. Unless a website is constantly kept up to date it dies and we know that Pharmacists do not have the time to maintain a website. How much is your time worth per hour and do you have two hours a week to devote to a website.
Finally, we charge £45 per month to provide this fabulous customer service tool and to put this into context that is the cost of a Sky television subscription or the cost of an iPhone on contract and unlike a sky or phone subscription we have no minimum term - you can cancel at anytime. - The best price is the price we quote. We operate a totally transparent pricing policy and it would be disastrous for our business if after purchasing our service a customer found we were offering other Pharmacists a better deal.
We really want your business but not at the expense of our reputation. - Yes from past experience we do have to insist that we ask for the set up costs up front. Pharmacy is one of the most demanding healthcare professions and in the past we have started work on a site and it has taken months for us to get the information we require to complete the site.
By paying us we know the Pharmacy is totally committed and if there is a delay in providing us with the information we require, then that is at the Pharmacy's expense not ours. As soon as we receive payment our customer services team make immediate contact with you and once we get the basic information we require we have your site up and live in less than 24 hours. - The initial payment can be made by cheque, Electronic Funds Transfer or by telephone using a credit card.
Recurring payments are set up on Standing Order. - We don't have a minimum term - we don't think you will want to stop our service but you can cancel at any time any month. As a goodwill gesture we won't charge you for any outstanding balance within the month you cancel.
